Historic Oregon Depot

 In the summer of 2001, with financial assistance from the City of Oregon and several private donors, a hearty group of volunteers led by Bob Rees of Oregon and Jerry Stauffer, a Mount Morris native, began the Oregon Depot Restoration Project.

The Ogle County Historical Society began in 1954 as a project of the Ogle County Federation of Women's Clubs. The object of this Society shall be to discover, preserve and disseminate the History of Ogle County.

The Ogle County Genealogical Society

was founded by Doris Glade Vogel in August, 1979.

The purpose of this society shall be to collect, preserve,

and disseminate knowledge and information with reference to genealogy and related history and biographical data.
